In many years of playing with friends, distinct partnerships and musical exchanges have developed which are now turning into a series of duo recordings.

The first project, with Brazilian woodwind master Paulo Moura, originated the traveling concert and recording “Mood Ingênuo” (Jazzheads 1998).

During our preparation and performance process I realized how much I enjoy the duo format; it allows intimacy, freedom of expression, and depends on shared and compatible regard for skill, esthetic values, and respect for the music and ones’ partner.  

Each project spans disparate repertoires and captures elements unique to each exchange.

I will soon begin to post some of the recordings on this site. Right now you can hear a rendition of a beautiful tune by Pixinguinha, which I performed with Henrique Cazes.
